Background
Lewisham Council commissioned us to design and develop a network of mobility hubs, enhancing active travel and the public realm. Before the concept design phase, we consulted stakeholders and reviewed existing infrastructure, operational needs and site constraints as well as conducted a borough wide review of 30 sites, which allowed us to produce a matrix to prioritise interventions.
Camden Council also secured funding from the Greater London Authority to make improvements to their mobility hub in a residential area close to St Pancras Station.
Outcome
For both local authorities we recommended trialling measures in three sites, identifying the crucial components and produced concept designs. These helped our clients as well as the community and stakeholders to visualise the impact of our schemes’ proposals.
