The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Awards commended our Camberley High Street project in the “Creating Better Places” category!
The CIHT Awards celebrates innovative works within the highways and transport sector. The Creating Better Places category recognises the outstanding design and creation of new spaces for everyone.
Camberley High Street project
We worked with Surrey Heath Council to transform Camberley High Street into a thriving hub for the community and the environment.
We reorganised the streets to reduce traffic and include more inclusive and accessible routes for active travellers. Our multidisciplinary team installed lighting, planting and public art, to complement the space and give it an identity. Read our full article about the process and impact of our project.
We are excited to be commended for the CIHT Awards. Our project drove positive impacts for the community and encouraged new sustainable ways of transportation.
A word from us for the CIHT Awards Ceremony
Our team attended the CIHT Awards ceremony in September. Technical Director for Landscape and Urban Design, Joao Toscano, commented:
It was great to attend the 2022 CIHT Awards and see our work in Camberley high street recognised. It was also a pleasure to deliver this project alongside a great multidisciplinary team at Project Centre and our fantastic client team at Surrey Heath Borough Council who has been working extensively on the scheme”
