Project Centre’s award-winning team provides clients and communities with sustainable placemaking, landscape design and urban design proposals across a variety of scales, contexts and typologies. Our services include: town centre and high street regeneration strategies, mixed-use masterplans, outline and hybrid planning applications, major infrastructure upgrades, streetscape design, feasibility studies, design codes and guidance, public realm strategies, gardens and parks. High quality and meaningful design is applied to every project and we ensure that environmental, social and economic relationships between people and places are always addressed.
Project Centre has a wealth of experience in landscape architecture and public realm design, working across a range of contexts, scales and RIBA stages. Our work ranges from: small-scale streetscape transformations; to multi-million long term regeneration of town centres, large-scale development and infrastructure projects, and feature green spaces.
Our multi-disciplinary design team have qualifications and expertise in landscape architecture, urban design, town planning, transport and architecture. Our senior team are leaders in their field and serve on design review panels, professional groups for landscape and urban design, and award committees.
We strive for excellence in placemaking and promote walking, cycling, health and wellbeing whilst strengthening communities through inclusive and innovative design solutions that address climate change. Our high-quality visuals and graphics enable us to produce compelling designs, helping to build consensus with communities, local authorities and clients.

Project Centre’s urban designers and masterplanners work across a range of contexts, scales and RIBA stages. Our experience ranges from small feasibility studies on tight urban sites, to regeneration strategies for town centres and high streets, to large outline masterplans for 100s or 1,000s of homes.

Every place has a unique character and environment. Our design focus is on the development of tailored approaches for each scheme which accommodate site-specific conditions as well as maintenance. This approach promotes social values such as community health, reduced anti-social behaviours and educational experiences for all generations. We always aim to make a positive impact on the environment, biodiversity and climate adaptation through the application of thoughtful planting strategies.
Our highly skilled team produces images and videos tailored exactly to the project in hand, to the relevant stage of design and to the available budget. These visuals can show initial ideas before detailed schemes are developed and enable options to be tested at an early stage with key stakeholders. They also provide a vision without suggesting a finished scheme, something which is crucial when seeking engagement on community-led schemes.
We can also provide scaled architectural 3D models, fully rendered to give photorealistic views set to a time of day, a time of year or even certain weather conditions, giving a vision of an exact moment in time.
Our services
- CGI images (eye-level, perspective, or bird’s eye view)
- Sketch images (eye-level, perspective, or bird’s eye view)
- 3D models (allows complete freedom to explore the site)
- Walkthroughs & flythroughs videos
- Promotional videos
Our visualisation services are often delivered alongside other in-house disciplines, working together to give confidence to clients and communities.
Project Centre’s experience of delivering successful masterplanning and public realm projects has enabled us to develop extensive knowledge in preparing design guidance, such as design codes and public realm design guides.
Several streetscape design guides have been produced that focus strongly on contemporary topics such as inclusive design, traffic-calming, designing out crime, active travel and cycling infrastructure, placemaking, sustainable urban drainage systems, whole-life cycle approach and air quality. They also provide guidance in terms of design approach, materials, street furniture layouts and maintenance requirements.
We have successfully delivered design strategies that identify opportunities within existing urban environments at differing budgetary levels. These strategies improve air quality, biodiversity and user experience. They particularly address issues of traffic dominance to promote modal shift to active travel, mitigate climate change, and create streets and spaces that are safe and enjoyable for all users.
