These include apprenticeships, mentoring, sponsorship of parttime degree/Masters/BTEC courses, speaking at conferences, and STEM and volunteering opportunities. All employees are encouraged to achieve professional status in your appropriate discipline and, where appropriate, we will support you through this process. This includes reimbursement of annual membership subscription.
Further training is available to all levels of staff throughout their employment and senior employees are expected to undertake training each year to assist their Continuing Professional Development.
Our highly successful graduate programme has attracted a strong list of candidates. Now in its sixth year we consider applicants for a wide range of careers and roles, including civil engineers, transport planners, urban and landscape designers and traffic engineers.
To date 75% of our graduates are still employed with us working their way up the ladder. Specific experience or knowledge of one or more of these areas is not a pre-requisite; we provide the training and guidance needed for candidates with the right academic background and aptitude. The programme allows our graduates to gain experience in various technical disciplines before deciding where their skills would best fit in the longer-term.
