Marston Holdings, the UK’s leading provider of integrated technology-enabled solutions from design through to implementation, management and recovery, has announced its acquisition of Grosvenor Services Group (GSG), supplier of specialist services to utilities.
GSG will form part of Engage, a technology-driven field services provider that conducts over 50,000 visits to people, businesses and their properties every month across the UK and Ireland. A comprehensive range of end-to-end services are delivered to the utilities, financial services and government sectors.
GSG was previously part of Echo Managed Services (South Staffordshire plc) and is a long-standing partner to the energy sector delivering a range of field services that engage customers to reduce debts and tackle the growing problem of energy theft.
The acquisition strengthens Engage’s integrated offering through extending its services to include GSG’s complementary capability set. Engage’s technical, engineer-led solutions will now be augmented by a broader range of field-based expertise, providing clients with a full toolkit of responses to meet the challenges they face.
The acquisition of GSG follows the acquisitions of Smartworks and Gasworks in 2019, which enabled Engage to deliver the industry’s first and only specialist warrant and revenue protection meter operator services. Together these acquisitions enhance Engage’s breadth of offering, enabling us to best support clients within the utilities sectors by delivering end-to-end field-based services.
Mike Wolfenden, Managing Director of Engage, part of Marston Holdings, commented:
“The acquisition of Grosvenor Services Group brings significant experience, capability and valued resource strengthening our service delivery and proposition.
Quality of service is of the utmost importance, and GSG’s long-standing history as a trusted, customer-focused business makes it a natural fit with Engage and the Marston Holdings group of businesses.”
Lloyd Birkhead, Group Managing Director of Grosvenor Services Group, commented:
“We are pleased to join Marston Holdings and collectively deliver a best-in-class offering.
We look forward to extending our offer through delivering Engage’s broader services to our client base.”
