Marston Holdings is proud to support the Beyond the Uniform campaign, with Brighton & Hove leading the way. This campaign is a powerful initiative that puts people first, humanising Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs), celebrating the positive impact they have on their communities, and challenging the abuse they can face while carrying out their roles.
Across our Civil Enforcement contracts, our CEOs play a vital role far beyond parking enforcement. They support vulnerable members of the public, assist during emergencies, help keep communities safe and moving, and act as approachable, trusted faces on the streets. Despite this, CEOs have historically been subject to verbal abuse, intimidation, and negative stereotypes simply for doing their jobs.
The Beyond the Uniform campaign asks the public to look beyond the uniform and recognise CEOs for who they truly are, parents, grandparents, friends, neighbours, and valued members of the local community making a positive difference every day.
The impact of the campaign is already being felt. Positive media coverage, social media storytelling, and local press features are helping to shift perceptions and show the human side of the role. Moments like seeing the campaign displayed to thousands of supporters at the Amex Stadium are a proud reminder of the difference visibility can make in reinforcing respect and understanding.
At Marston Holdings, supporting Beyond the Uniform is more than a campaign, it reflects our commitment across all our contracts to put our people first. By promoting dignity, respect, and safety for our teams, we are creating a culture where the contribution of every CEO is recognised and valued. Brighton & Hove Council and NEPPs leadership on the campaign demonstrates the powerful role we can play in changing perceptions, reducing abuse, and celebrating the everyday positive impact of CEOs.
Beyond the uniform, we see the people. And at Marston Holdings, we will continue to put them first.
