Edd Moore, now serving as Operational Governance and Assurance Director, has built an impressive career defined by adaptability, leadership, and a deep understanding of frontline operations.
Edd’s journey into the enforcement industry began 12 years ago when he joined Marston Holdings as a Trainee Enforcement Agent. Prior to this, he had spent several years in sales – a background that, at the time, was being actively sought by the organisation. The idea was simple: those with sales experience bring strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to negotiate effectively with customers.
“At first, I wasn’t convinced,” Edd recalls. “But when I understood the earning potential, the competitive side of me kicked in.” After completing his training, Edd spent three years on the frontline, working extensively on HMCTS and TMA debt recovery. The role gave him invaluable insight into customer interaction, conflict resolution, and the realities of enforcement work – experience that would later shape his leadership approach.
A turning point came when Edd took an opportunity elsewhere, stepping into a managerial operational role. There, he played a key role in developing welfare teams and embedding frontline experience into bidding processes and client management strategies. Over the next six years, his responsibilities grew significantly, culminating in the creation of a multi-award-winning welfare team and his promotion to Operations Director.
Edd returned to Marston Holdings 18 months ago as Operations Director, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective. His impact was immediate, and just two months ago, he transitioned into his current role as Operational Governance and Assurance Director.
Today, Edd oversees a broad portfolio, including operational policies and procedures, complaints handling, welfare, and operational support services. His career progression reflects not only professional success but also a commitment to improving standards and supporting both customers and colleagues.
