At Marston Holdings, we’re proud of our people and the dedication they bring to their roles every day. Through our *Another Day on the Job* series, we share stories that highlight the commitment, compassion, and professionalism shown by colleagues in roles that look very different from the traditional 9–5.
Our Civil Enforcement Officers and Enforcement Agents are not just colleagues – they’re parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends, working hard to support their families and serve their communities. The work they do has real impact, with council tax debt reinvested back into vital local services. While out on patrol, they’re also often approached for help, directions, or support – playing a part in keeping our streets safe and connected.
Recently, Marc and Robin, two of our Civil Enforcement Officers in Brighton & Hove, were working the Queen’s Park beat when their day took an unexpected turn. Turning into Sutherland Road, they noticed a figure lying beneath a bench. Approaching to check on him, they quickly realised a gentleman was unconscious and had visible injuries.
Remaining calm and focused, Marc and Robin rolled the gentleman onto his side and contacted the emergency services. Following instructions from the call handler, they checked for identification and found a hospital wristband, enabling them to pass vital information to the emergency team. They stayed with him, offering reassurance and support, until the ambulance arrived.
Once the gentleman was safely in the care of paramedics, Marc and Robin returned to their patrol – just another day on the job.
Their actions are a powerful reminder that our people often go above and beyond, not because they seek recognition, but because it’s simply who they are and how they approach their work.
💙 We’re proud to work alongside colleagues like Marc and Robin.
