A reliable and efficient ANPR network to maximise operational effectiveness
Videalert ANPR systems deliver the highest productivity at the lowest operational cost. This is achieved by combining ANPR with the latest video analytics to provide reliable and accurate capture of VRM data in high volume traffic environments.
In fact, a recent study showed that the Videalert system detected over 2% more vehicles during a 1.5 hour period compared to a standard ANPR system.
Operational Efficiency
Videalert ANPR systems enable police resources to be cost effectively focused to deliver greater operational efficiency, against a background of continuing budget reductions. They are fully compliant with the National ACPO ANPR Standard and integrate with the National ANPR Data Centre (NADC).
Using the latest digital HD cameras and high speed networks, Videalert systems transmit real-time VRM data by fast live links to PNC and intelligence systems. This provides a maximum 2 second response from when a subject vehicle passes a camera to a read/hit back to the police database at the local level.
ONVIF-compliant digital HD cameras also provide high levels of detail to help identify target vehicles such as stickers, tow bars, aerials and any vehicle body damage to help develop investigations. This can assist in the creation of high quality evidence packs with digital signatures and time stamps to aid convictions.
Data Sharing
The Videalert solution can also be driven using the same camera assets as other civil traffic enforcement and management applications. It facilitates data sharing with other stakeholders to leverage available budgets and achieve extended coverage at a lower cost. For example, real-time VRM data can be used to enhance Urban Traffic Management Control systems for traffic modelling and journey time information.
