Last Friday we hosted the first ever Project Centre Staff Awards! In the wake of winning CIHT’s Employer of the Year, we designed these awards to include every aspect of our working life, from most innovative to best new recruit, ensuring that everyone has a chance to win. Not only that, but the awards were a great way to connect all our offices together, from Brighton to Edinburgh. Without further ado, this year’s winners:
Nichola Mansfield won Peoples Champion as she has been hugely influential in getting flexible working arrangements as a policy as well as being a trusted, open person including a mental health ambassador and helping progress the Equality and Diversity Inclusion (EDI) and Women’s Learning and Development (WLDN) working groups.
For Business Continuity Champion, Joe Fitzpatrick won for excelling in a difficult role during the pandemic and always finding the time to help others while also being busy. He is instrumental to the business and the development of our offices.
Olaseni Koya is Project Manager of the Year for successfully managing multiple projects within the traffic and parking team while Nour Sinokrot is our Graduate of the Year for being an outstanding employee since joining as well as being incredibly active within the WLDN and is exemplar to other graduates.
For Line Manager of the Year, Darren Ryan who is always there to help and answer questions when needed and providing support for qualifications. Our Employee of the Year is Olivia Reed whose hard work and dedication have earnt her the most nominations for Employee of the Month this year.
Daria Kaczoroska was recently successful in becoming a Chartered Landscape Architect which has earnt her the Professional Development Achievement Award with Samer Muhandes winning the Innovation Award for leading on the award-winning Eastcote SuDs scheme.
Nishil Parmar was awarded the Social Value Award. From getting us involved in the Big Sleep Out which was a great fundraising initiative as well as interaction with Kent through event days and the Kent community through his work as a school Enterprise Advisor and his engagement with the Chatham campus of Greenwich university.
A supportive member of the Designworks team, always with the time to help and problem solve as well as creating a positive atmosphere, Cong Ma won Unsung Hero. Paula Rainey won Support Team Champion for her high quality of work as well as being always positive and happy to help.
Our Most Creative Colleague winner is Stefano Scarano for his exemplary designs and Khem Paudel won Feedback Champion for achieving the most client feedback.
Our staff were so impressed with our new starters they couldn’t pick just one! Connor Brown, Ellie Walker, Hannah Pickering, Katarzyna Szczyrba, Katerina Georgiou and Sarah Allen have all won best New Recruit!
Lastly, Project Team of the Year was awarded to the brilliant staff who delivered the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Old Bethnal Green Road Liveable Streets project, a wonderful and complex scheme delivering sustainable areas for residents, businesses and visitors.
We’re thrilled that our first annual awards were a success and we can’t wait to host the next one!
