Project Centre celebrated National Inclusion Week in September. This week celebrates companies that take action toward positive and inclusive behaviour in the workplace. Inclusive Employers founded National Inclusion week ten years ago. In addition, they are a membership organisation who help employers find inclusive workspaces.
Project Centre’s Inclusivity Groups
At Project Centre every employee is a champion for inclusivity and diversity. We have groups such as The Women’s Learning and Development Network and Equality Diversity and Inclusion group. These groups make sure everyone continues to have equal opportunities and feels safe, respected, and heard.
The Women’s Learning and Development Network (WLDN) is dedicated towards progressing women into leadership roles. However, not only women are in the group. Everyone at Project Centre is passionate about gender diversity. Our Women’s Learning and Development Network is having strong impacts on recruitment, retention and progression. As a result the number of women working at Project Centre has increased since last year.
Our Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) group is focused on general equality across all areas of the business. These include neurodiversity, ethnicity, gender, and religion. Moreover, the EDI group commits to raising awareness and promoting equality diversity and inclusion. The Equality Diversity and Inclusion Group empower employees at all levels to challenge discrimination. They enable all employees to speak up against any form of inappropriate behaviour. Therefore, this provides a safe space and voice for all employees.
Project Centre celebrate the diverse employees and cultures at the company. We promote inclusivity through webinars, toolbox talks, and events. Also, we invite external speakers to share their experiences which spreads awareness and empathy.
Diversity and Inclusion award
This year Investors in People shortlisted Project Centre for the award for Diversity and Inclusion. This highlights the impact of our groups in continuing to make Project Centre a great place to work. We continue to practice inclusivity and diversifying the company.
