The theme of International Women’s Day (IWD) this year focuses around choosing to challenge bias and inequality as individuals. Whether it is examining our own prejudices or calling out discrimination we see, it is up to us to make the choice. Part of that is showing solidarity to demonstrate support and a conscious effort to combat inequality.
Project Centre wants to create an inclusive workplace that is sensitive to the needs and issues of those discriminated. We are trying to improve by listening to our staff and working to change our dynamics for the better. As part of this, and in celebration of IWD, we asked our team about the inspirational women they work with.
Whether it was determination, intelligence, professionalism, ambition or support, the women of Project Centre continue to inspire others and drive for real change in the workplace. With less than 25% of the Engineering sector being made up of women, it is crucial that inequality is addressed. This will create an industry that is as inclusive as it should be.
