The Landscape Institute Award (LIA) shortlisted our Eastcote rain gardens scheme! The category was for Excellence in Flood and Water Management. Eastcote Rain gardens was a project which we completed in partnership with the London Borough of Hillingdon.

The Landscape Institute Awards have consistently been among the most prestigious accolades within the industry. This annual event seeks to showcase projects that inhabit the core values of the Landscape Institute, which include connectivity, sustainability and a seamless blend of nature and people. This year saw a record breaking and remarkable number of projects submitted with over 220, all competing for a place on the shortlist. We’re glad to see oru Eastcote scheme shortlisted in the Landscape Institute Awards.
Eastcote Town Centre is located in a river valley as much as the area is extremely vulnerable to flooding. Even small rainfall can have negative impacts on the area..
As a result, we completed the scheme in 2019 and have seen amazing improvements.
By all means, Associate, Samer Muhandes, was delighted to see the value the rain gardens added in Eastcote. It drained water from the whole area within fifteen minutes even durring heavy rainfall.
