About the Fund

The Chancellor created the Levelling Up Fund to invest in infrastructure that improves everyday life across the UK. 

The Fund brings together the Department for Transport, the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the Treasury to invest £4.8 billion in high value local infrastructure. 

The Fund strives to close the economic differences in locations across the UK, as ‘levelling up’ regions of the UK is a priority for the government. It supports town centre and high street regeneration, local transport projects, and cultural and heritage assets.

Eligible local authorities have a flat rate of £125,000 to support in developing their bids.

105 local authorities secured the first round of Levelling Up Funding, allocating £1.7 billion from the total £4.8 billion fund. Project Centre successfully helped several local authorities with bid submissions, with proposed improvements spanning across infrastructural improvements, town centre regenerations to introduce green spaces.

What we’ve learnt from the first round of bidding is government want to see prepared, structured, forward thinking ready-to-go plans. While the government is yet to release dates for second-round funding, the time to start planning and preparing is now, to ensure we’re ready to submit the bids when the time comes.

How the fund can be used

Local authorities can use the Fund on a variety of projects including supporting and developing communities and social infrastructure. These include: 

  • Transport improvements with a particular focus on high-impact schemes of all scales that reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, cut congestion, support economic growth and improve the experience of transport users
  • Regeneration and town centre investments, including acquiring and developing brownfield sites and updating existing buildings and infrastructure

The government grouped local authorities into categories with a flat £125,000 of capacity funding made available for category one local authorities to produce their bid. Bids will be assessed on deliverability, value for money and strategic fit with local and fund priorities, meaning it is vital that MPs support your bid and other community stakeholders.

Project Centre is on three lots including lot five, Highways, Traffic and Transport. The framework is open to all local authorities in the UK, and is set up for direct awards to speed up procurement with a preferred supplier.

Crown Commercial Services – Transport Technology and Associated Services (TTAS)

Project Centre is procurable through our parent company, Marston Holdings on the TTAS framework. We are available via lot one, Transport Professional Services.

We are also on regional frameworks allowing local authorities in London, Kent and West Sussex to access these, as well as frameworks with MerseyTravel and Transport for London.

We specialise in process serving throughout England and Wales. Court and legal documents are served on a same day-basis when required. We also undertake trace enquiries.

Employment Tribunal Enforcement Form

Instruct us to enforce employment tribunal awards. We can apply to the court to register the award as a Judgment.

European Enforcement Order Instruction Form

If you have a Judgment from a Country outside of the Jurisdiction of England and Wales but where the Debtor resides in England and Wales then we can assist you.
