The challenge
We received an instruction to carry out a forfeiture on a commercial premises. The complexity
arose from the need to gain access through a barricaded main fire door and multiple internal
doors, necessitating a specialist method of entry. The task also required a comprehensive inventory
and documentation of the premises’ contents within a tight 24-hour timeframe.
Our solution
Within 24 hours of receiving the instruction, our Enforcement Agent, accompanied by a locksmith,
arrived on-site. Our specialist method of entry team successfully gained access through the
barricaded main fire door and multiple internal doors. The agent conducted a detailed inventory,
capturing photos and a video walkthrough of the premises. This documentation was promptly
provided to the instructing party upon completion. Our Enforcement
Manager collaborated closely with the police, leveraging Section 61 of the Criminal Justice and
Public Order Act (CJPOA) to facilitate the immediate removal of the encampment. This strategic
coordination enabled the encampment to be moved by 9:00pm the same day.
The impact
The effective execution of the forfeiture within the specified timeframe demonstrated our proficiency
in handling complex entry scenarios. The detailed inventory and thorough documentation provided
the instructing party with clear and comprehensive records of the premises’ contents. Our ability to
manage the entry and documentation process efficiently ensured client satisfaction and upheld our
reputation for reliability and thoroughness.
