The challenge
Marston was instructed by a housing management agent to enforce evictions across 23 flats in a tower block. These evictions were staggered but needed to be completed by a cut-off date set by the local authority due to re-housing requirements. On the designated day, Marston faced the task of evicting eight properties. Compounding the challenge, tensions rose as neighbours witnessed
the peaceful evictions, leading to frayed tempers. One tenant, in particular, had heavily barricaded his main front door, posing an additional obstacle.
Our solution
Marston coordinated closely with the police to ensure a smooth and safe eviction process. For the heavily barricaded flat, our in-house method of entry team was deployed to gain access. Utilising their expertise and specialised equipment, they successfully breached the barricaded door.
Throughout the day, Marston’s team maintained a calm and professional demeanour, managing the situation effectively despite the rising tensions among the tenants.

By the end of the day, Marston had successfully evicted tenants from all eight properties as planned.
