Marston’s in-house software and hardware solutions work seamlessly. Plus we can complement any existing service solution. Our ANPR cameras and vehicle processing capabilities combine with our back office customer contact centres. And operate with multiple enforcement systems, including our own bespoke solution built for emission-based charging schemes.
We also have an in-house signage and line marking capability, which provides the framework for enforceability, and can install electric vehicle charging points within and outside schemes to support scheme compliance and performance. Our flexible mobile ANPR solutions can be installed on a wide range of green vehicles. And can be tailored to provide additional enforcement. As well as a rich data set for developing scheme improvements and targeting poor compliance.
In addition, our public consultation services help people to understand new and existing emission based charging schemes and enable them to make informed choices on travel and transport in order to support the overall health goals of these schemes in our towns and cities.
CCTV Enforcement of Clean Air and Low Emission Zones
Videalert’s digital platform solution provides cost effective management and enforcement of Clean Air and Low Emission Zones to reduce pollution from toxic gases, including nitrogen dioxide which is estimated to cause the premature deaths of 40,000-50,000 people each year.
Real-time identification of vehicles is provided including make, model, colour, gross weight, engine type, Euro rating and CO² emission band. This enables the system to automatically determine whether an offence has been committed and/or whether the correct tariff has been paid for entry into the restricted zone. To minimise bandwidth requirements, these checks are carried out prior to evidence files being sent to the back office system for issuing PCNs. For more information click here.
Air Quality Monitoring
Our innovative air quality monitoring solutions enable councils to take a more holistic approach to maximising the impact of enforcement cameras and air quality initiatives. With integrated gas (CO² and NO²) and particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4, PM10 and PM100) sensors, they provide real-time data showing the levels of gas and particulate matter at different times throughout the day and night.
