Chairman

Gordon joined Marston as Group Chairman in November 2016. Gordon joined Capita as Financial Controller in 1988 when Capita was a management consultancy company with a turnover of £2m. He became Group Finance Director in 1996, and was a key member of the senior team that grew Capita into a FTSE 60 business with £4.3 billion annual revenues when he left in 2015.

Chief Executive

Gareth has been central to industry lobbying for implementation of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 regulations. In 2008, his recommendations to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) for reformed fee structures became the basis for the proposed regulations; he led the subsequent engagement with the MoJ, sat on two working parties convened to consider fee reform and represented the industry at 34 separate meetings with MPs, and also with the previous Justice Minister.

Chief Operating Officer

John has worked in the police sector for 22 years, and has held senior management roles in technology, consulting and business process outsourcing businesses. A regular speaker and contributor on justice-related issues, he joins Marston from G4S where he was Managing Director of the group’s Public Services division which included Policing Support Services, Healthcare, Prisoner Escorting and Local Government businesses.

Chief Financial Officer

Richard has worked across a variety of sectors, from motor manufacturing in South Africa to offshore oil and gas in the UK. Most recently, Richard has spent 13 years with Capita. He started as Group Financial Controller, moving to Senior Divisional Finance Director covering divisions such as IT Services; Digital Software Services; large central government and local government contracts; and Strategic Services (a collection of high growth individual businesses).

Group Client Development Director

Nick joins Marston Holdings (Marston) from Capita, where he led major outsourcing engagements and was responsible for over £1bn new contract wins – and also for extending the range of services provided to existing clients.

Group HR Director

Ann joined Marston as HR Director on 7 January 2013, with Group-wide responsibility for implementing business strategy through HR and change management, setting HR policies and procedures, implementing staff welfare, support and performance management frameworks, and co-ordinating the recruitment, learning and development and field training functions.

Legal and Compliance Director

Richard has over 20 years’ experience in risk and compliance leadership, and has worked closely with the financial services regulator during a period of significant change for the debt management industry. He is a specialist in arrears and repossessions, having played an instrumental role in the turnaround of Northern Rock debt management prior to its sale with over £1 billion of arrears under management.
