Her Majesty’s Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) was created in April 2011.

It brought together Her Majesty’s Courts Service and the Tribunals Service into one integrated agency as part of the Ministry of Justice.

HMCTS is responsible for the administration of the criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales and non-devolved tribunals in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It provides for a fair, efficient and effective justice system delivered by an independent judiciary.

HMCTS aims to ensure that all citizens receive timely access to justice according to their different needs, whether as victims or witnesses of crime, defendants accused of crimes, consumers in debt, children at risk of harm, businesses involved in commercial disputes or as individuals asserting their employment rights or challenging the decisions of government bodies.

The agency handles over two million criminal cases, 1.8 million civil claims, more than 150,000 family law disputes and almost 800,000 tribunal cases annually.

We have supplied services to HMCTS since 1978 and currently receive over 550,000 cases per year as primary contractor for the North West, South East and the South West regions, and as first reserve contractor for the London, Midlands and North East regions.

Our services include the recovery of unpaid court fines through distress warrants, clamping orders and arrest warrants.
