Marston Group has been awarded the Investors in People Gold Standard at the first attempt, following an in-depth assessment in April.

Marston joins Rossendales and other top seven per cent of organisations across the UK that have achieved the Gold Standard.

High performance

Marston demonstrated multiple strategies and practices that met the criteria to achieve the Gold Standard. These included:

  • an exemplar approach to ethical and professional governance;
  • a compelling vision predicated on reducing risk and increasing compliance;
  • emphasis on five core values: accountability, professionalism, transparency, innovation and respect;
  • a focused, agile and improving learning & development process and multiple training accreditations;
  • a strong focus on health, safety and wellbeing of the workforce;
  • a culture of continuous improvement; and
  • a developing multi-faceted communications strategy.

Marston Chief Executive, Gareth Hughes, commented:

“This is a significant achievement for Marston Group, which reflects its commitment to employee development and shows that we are an organisation that is dedicated to being the very best it can be.

I would like to congratulate the whole team on their success. It is a great platform on which to build during the next phase of the Group’s evolution.”
